I am a designer and a fine artist focused on website design, branding and identity, graphics, illustrations, and book design. I am also a coach and a teacher and passionate about working closely with groups and individuals and helping them through their creative process.  I have worked as a designer at the Smithsonian Institution and the National Museums of Kenya designing exhibitions and graphics. I have also authored and illustrated books, 

 

Currently I am  living in the San Francisco Bay Area and free-lancing with clients from all over the world. My strength lies in working very closely with students or clients to resolve issues in a close collaborative style.

I am a multi-cultural, worldly person, I have traveled a lot throughout the world and lived and worked on four continents. I have also worked across many disciplines in design. I started out as a landscape architect and urban planner in Malawi in Africa, transitioned into exhibit design when I worked at the National Museums of Kenya in Nairobi and later at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC, designing exhibits and graphics.
